The 2023 Opel Mokka gets a 134 horsepower engine.

With the large fan base that Opel cars enjoy in many countries around the world, it seems that the 2023 Opel Mokka will get a new engine with a capacity of 134 horsepower.

The wide range of brands of the Stellantis Group includes a large number of cars based on the 1.2 PureTech gasoline engine, which recently appeared with more power and efficiency in Mild-Hybrid technology in the Peugeot 3008/5008.

Recently, a new version of the Opel Mokka 2023 appeared with a three-cylinder turbo engine.

The new Opel Mokka is equipped with a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that generates 134 horsepower and 230 Newton meters of torque and is linked to a six-speed manual transmission that sends power to the front wheels.

According to the manufacturer, the new version reduces CO2 emissions from 141g/km to 125g/km, while maintaining the same performance.

It also offers 0-100 km/h acceleration for the Mokka 2023 in 9.1 seconds, and the top speed reaches 201 km/h, with a fuel consumption of 5.5 liters/100 km.

The new 1.2-liter turbo engine delivers the same power and torque as the version equipped with the 1.2 PureTech 48V Mild-Hybrid engine.

However, the latter has an integrated electric motor that produces up to 28 hp and 55 Nm of torque. The 1.2 PureTech 48V engine version is coupled with a more advanced dual-clutch automatic transmission (e-DSC6) and a 48V battery with a total capacity of 898Wh, offering additional power and efficiency benefits.

Some analysts believe that the Stellantis Group, owner of Opel, could use the most powerful version of the gasoline engine with a manual transmission in the cheaper cars of its various brands (Opel, Citroen, Peugeot, DS, Fiat, and Jeep) while retaining the most efficient and economical Mild Hybrid Engine For cars with automatic transmission.

Interestingly, the old 1.2-liter version is still available in the Opel Mokka in two versions; The first is 99 hp with a six-speed manual transmission, and the second is 128 hp with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

In addition to the mechanical updates, the Opel Mokka Ultimate will receive black exterior paint for certain elements, replacing the chrome of the previous version.

And if you’re looking for a darker color palette, you can choose the new Mocha Black, which is painted in gray or black, with a black roof, tinted windows, and 18-inch wheels with a glossy finish.
