Audi unveiled its redesigned Q8 e-tron 2024 electric crossover, formerly known as the Q8 e-tron Quattro last November, and the company has now announced that the vehicle will start at 74,400$ when it arrives at U.S. dealerships later this year.
Although the model looks somewhat similar to the previous version, it comes with an all-new single-frame grille, which includes decorative lighting.
The crossover also gained a new front bumper, more aerodynamically integrated wheels, and a laser-etched logo on the front B-pillar. However, most of the attention was focused on improving aerodynamics and drag was reduced by more than 6%.
Inside the cabin, drivers will find a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, an infotainment system with a 10.1-inch screen, and an 8.6-inch sub-display. This car comes equipped with luxuriously warm leather seats up front, a stunning panoramic glass roof, and four-zone automatic climate control for maximum comfort.
Added to that are a heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, wood trim, and HomeLink.
The Premium Plus trim begins at 78,800$ and comes with the added features of ventilated front seats and an impressive Bang & Olufsen audio system.
The Prestige luxury trim is priced at 84,800$, with heated Valcona/Milano leather front seats that support ventilation and massage.
Audi has significantly improved the powertrain and installed a 106-kWh battery. And that’s not the only thing that has changed, as the battery management system has been improved, while the DC fast charging capacity has been increased from 150 kW to 170 kW.
This allows the Audi Q8 E-Tron 2024 to charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 31 minutes.
It’s also worth noting that the Q8 e-tron has Plug &Charge capability. Buyers will also find a 2-in-1 charging cable, which can be used to connect the vehicle to either 120- or 240-volt outlets.
The car’s powertrain upgrades go beyond the battery, as the Q8 e-tron 2024 model includes an all-wheel drive system with a dual motor that produces up to 402 hp.
This allows the crossover to start from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 km/h.
With the upgrades, the Q8 e-tron is expected to have an estimated range of 459 miles according to the EPA. That means an increase of about 95 kilometers over the previous generation.
