When the check engine light appears on the dashboard, some people become anxious, but most of the time it’s just alerting you to a little problem, like an exhaust system issue. It’s OK to put off fixing it until later unless your automobile is quite old.

You’ll eventually need to get it looked out, but failing to do so quickly normally won’t be a major concern. But be careful to have it checked out as soon as possible if the check engine light starts to flicker.

Always consult the placard located inside the driver-side door to determine the proper tire pressure. The tire’s indicated pressure should never be used. This is due to the possibility of using such tires on many types of automobiles, each of which has a unique pressure need.

Use a digital pressure gauge on cold tires for the most accurate reading. Incorrect pressure can hurt control, safety, and fuel efficiency.
