Produced concurrently with the Buick Rendezvous, the Pontiac Aztek was an unwarranted crossover. Under pressure to design a new car, General Motors chose to build a crossover rather than take the time to design something genuinely original.
Within the first few months of the vehicle’s sale, buyers were required to return the Aztek to General Motors as part of a widespread recall because of a malfunctioning gasoline delivery system.
