One may argue that certain things are best left alone, and the Studebaker was one of them. The convertible was ugly compared to other 1950s vehicles because of its extra-long fenders, which gave it a spaceship-like appearance.
Because the Studebaker Convertible’s chassis didn’t work well as a convertible, it was never mass-produced. Up to the company’s bankruptcy and closure in the late 1960s, Studebaker continued to build more attractive models.
