The Samsung OLED screen will be available on all new Ferrari cars.

After the two firms signed a memorandum of understanding, the upcoming iterations of Ferrari’s Italian supercars will have a Samsung OLED display incorporated within the cabin. This is the latest move the Italian company has made to modernize the technology inside the new supercars.

With this strategic partnership with Samsung Display for the customized development of OLED display solutions, we are taking an important step forward,” said Benedetto Vigna, CEO of Ferrari, in the digital environment for our next-generation models.

The South Korean tech company’s experience with Samsung’s small, light, curved OLED display was touted by Ferrari in the cooperation announcement, but no financial information or a release date for the product was provided. Ferrari did, however, state that it will deliver tailored solutions for its next vehicles.

According to JS Choi, President and CEO of Samsung Display, “We are prepared to supply cutting-edge display solutions that match Ferrari’s exacting criteria based on our significant experience with OLED technology. We are certain that working with Ferrari will be a thrilling experience. a chance to put our skills to use in the supercar industry and solidify our position in the automotive OLED market, allowing us to ascend to new heights.

This is the last step for Ferrari of the company’s CEO, Benedetto Vigna, who joined the company in 2021, after a successful career in the technology sector, where he was previously an expert in the world of semiconductor chips at STMicroelectronics, and was appointed “for his understanding of the technologies that are driving a lot of changes” in the automotive industry, according to Ferrari’s president, John Elkann.

Last year, Ferrari registered a partnership with U.S. chipmaker Qualcomm, whose Snapdragon chips are industry leaders, and the company was chosen because of its ability to extend Ferrari’s “knowledge in digital technologies and Web 3.0,” Vigna said.

When we have official information on when the Samsung OLED display will be added to the all-new Ferrari cars, we will provide the details.
